Along the way on days we worked out I would increase my calorie intake because I thought that's what you were supposed to do (I don't know, it made sense at the time). The weight on the scale stopped moving. The only thing that kept me from freaking the hell out was that my clothes continued to feel....bigger.
I had accidentally stumbled in to maintenance. Whoops. That's not where I'm at! Not yet at least... But I realized that there was something to this whole personal training thing. Doing only half of the program he had given my friend I was still seeing changes. So I decided to see him myself.
Holy crap balls he is huge. His muscles have muscles. He is also very nice. I had looked into trainers before but I always felt intimidated by how they looked and let's be honest, the price. It's so dang expensive. But the thing I like about his set up is that I see him once a week for an hour and the price isn't horrendous. We go over the past week and he gives me my meal plan and exercise plan for the next week depending on how the previous week went. He has me go through the workout with him there and he corrects anything (like my form) and answers any questions. Bonus, I can text him however much I want throughout the week. He told me that the people that annoy the hell out of him with the texts are the ones that get results.
I've mildly annoyed him. Mostly because I am always shy when I first meet people. I'm only a week in and I feel awesome. I actually look forward to the gym. I never necessarily needed someone to watch me work out every time I went in there. I just needed direction. Otherwise I wander and then people get weirded out by that girl just walking around the gym touching machines and watching the TVs.
But I am excited to see where this will go.
I am going to write a proper post but I had all these ideas....and they're gone. Dangit.
