That's not to say I never buy from my friends- because I do. I know who sells what and when I decide on something I reach out to them. I see you and appreciate your hustle but I'm like a squirrel. Approach me and I'll run; leave little things out and about and eventually I may come sniff around.
I had been invited to a LuLaRoe FB party before and I checked it out. Here's the thing- you can really only get this stuff via FB parties. And it sells quick. So if you can't dedicate yourself to FB at a certain time you're kind of S.O.L. I missed the start time of the last one and didn't get anything.
This time the amount of product stocked seemed to be a larger quantity and the time worked for me and I actually remembered. So basically what you do is you browse the photo albums and comment "sold" on the things you want. I'm going to be honest- I lost my mind a little. I've never even seen this stuff in person.
But hey, leggings, and quite frankly I do too many squats and lunges to hide my stems under jeans all the dang time. The funny thing is, as I type this I'm wearing a pair of capris two sizes too big and the butt is super saggy. I think this may fall under the category of irony but Alanis Morissette ruined my understanding of that concept (10,000 spoons and all you need is a knife).
Now I'm anxiously waiting for my stuff to come in the mail so I can check out these things.
Somehow in the couple years that I've been weight lifting I reached a point where spending $12 on a jar of peanut butter and $20 something on some peanut butter cups, because protein, is normal. I didn't even flinch. I mean, I did later and laughed at myself. I'd be embarrassed to tell you how many jars of that PB I have in my possession already. I didn't even really NEED it. I just wanted a new flavor. Fucking first world problems.
Next time I complain about being poor remind me of this post. I'm a financial idiot.
I see in my drafts I made some tutorial type things in regards to some stuff I made for Ryan's 1st Birthday party. I should probably finish those up....someone may find them useful....
I've got a week off of work coming up. I have some tentatively scheduled plans. Zoo with my parents and Ryan. Play date. Birthday party (for grown ups. With booze.) Sleep. Glorious sleep. More than two hours in a row. With that kind of rest I'll probably wanna do hood rat stuff with my friends.
